Throughout the run of KATARSIS, the special programme explores the themes and universe of the play. We will delve into themes such as seeresses and witchcraft, societal breakdown, adversity, new beginnings, myths, superstition and clay. The programme will be held in Danish.

Andrea Hejlskov & Gustav Hagild: The Völva’s Prophecy – Spirituality, Faith and Adversity

One of the themes explored in the performance is witchcraft and the völva tradition. In connection with this, Nørrebro Teater has invited author, lecturer and self-proclaimed völva Andrea Hejlskov to a conversation about The Völva’s Prophecy in relation to her work and knowledge. Together with culture journalist Gustav Hagild, she delves into spirituality, faith, adversity and societal and personal breakdown.

Join us for a very special workshop with visual artist Klara Lilja, as the foyer of Nørrebro Teater is transformed into a studio with clay at its centre. During the workshop, you will be introduced to Klara Lilja’s artistic practice, as well as various techniques and tools, and guided in creating your own sculpted work inspired by themes such as cycles, rituals, new beginnings and endings.
