ABOUT NØRREBRO THEATRE

Nørrebro Theatre is one of Denmark’s most prominent theaters, offering seating for 620 guests. Located on Ravnsborggade in the vibrant heart of Nørrebro, the theater’s mission is to connect with the world through thought-provoking and engaging theater and culture. Since May 2024, Janne Villadsen and Jennifer Vedsted Christiansen have been the directors.

As a theatre, we strive to make a difference in our local community. We form creative alliances, co-produce with local partners and offer events that cater for a diverse audience. We strive to display the theatre as a place open and available for everybody. Nørrebro Theatre presents at least three plays and several special events each season, such as political talks, new monologues, readings and singalong. The theatre focuses on audience development in order to get to know our diverse audience. Nørrebro Theatre has been a partner in the large-scale European cooperation project ADESTE+, aimed at expanding cultural participation. Read more about the results of our work with ADESTE+ here.
