Festival Finale: The Evil, the False and the Ugly

Since antiquity, ideas of the good, the true and the beautiful have shaped the way we see the world. But these ideals have always had a darker side.

At Nørrebro Teater, six researchers explore the shadowy sides of civilisation and the forces shaping our time – from authoritarian tendencies and misinformation to aesthetic norms and political communities. Join us as Anne Sophia Hermansen leads the festival finale alongside Mikkel Thorup, Mona Kanwal Sheikh, Vincent Hendricks, Kasper Opstrup, Maja Bak Herrie and Ulrik Langen.

The evening also features two staged arias inspired by these moral opposites and created especially for the occasion by Marie Dahl Assembly. Opera soprano Nina Sveistrup brings two of Henry Purcell’s arias, Dido’s Lament and Cold Song, to life.
